Rube Goldberg Challenge

Hello future scientists & engineers! Welcome to the first-ever virtual summer challenge hosted by the STEM Outreach Center at New Mexico State University! We are so excited that this summer, we will be asking you to create your very own Rube Goldberg machine at home! Not sure what a Rube Goldberg machine is and looks like? Check out our resources below to get started! You will need adult supervision and permission to take part in this competition, so be sure to show your parents and guardians what you want to do and ask them to be a pair of helping hands in your building process! Video record your creation and post it to your families’ favorite social media account! You will need to submit the form on this page in addition to posting your video on a social media platform so that we can verify your eligibility and find your video easily for the competition judges! Explore our resources, plan out your machine, build, film, post and compete! Happy engineering!
